Question: In your opinion what is the purpose of a Blog?
Answer: The purpose of a blog is to express your own thoughts about something. It can be about why you think the color blue is better than the color yellow or about how you feel about the upcoming election. It's basically what ever you want it to be.

i too think a blog can and should be used for whatever it is, that person chooses. a blog is the ultimate freedom of speech and all that other good stuff.
